Community involvement

Community involvement in the Katfish Reach Project is essential. Local people can provide expertise and skills in relation to native fish, their status, importance and threats to them.

Indigenous people in particular have a great deal of knowledge and understanding of the landscape and environment which will be invaluable for furthering our understanding of native fish communities.
